Service provider

Rujos-studiot Oy (the DicVerbum service), Business ID 3654380-8, Vasavägen, 64610 Närpes, Finland. Email: info@rujos.fi. Phone: +358 40 480 1710 (Mon–Fri 10:00–17:00 Finnish time).

The service

DicVerbum is an online service that lets an organisation turn its own material into a spoken and written browser presentation in chosen languages and translate Word documents (DOCX). The service is used in the customer portal at dicverbum.fi/portal.

Usage rights

The service is used with purchased usage rights. One usage right equals one language version: one presentation or document translation in one language. A language version of a presentation is up to about 10 minutes long.

A usage right is consumed when the script is created for the chosen language or when a document translation is ordered. The portal shows the number of rights to be used before you confirm.

Purchased usage rights do not expire.

Prices and payment

Prices are in euros and include 25.5% VAT. The current price list is published on the DicVerbum website (Pricing page) and shown in the customer portal.

Usage rights are ordered in the customer portal. When paying by invoice (bank transfer), the seller is Rujos-studiot Oy. The invoice is sent by email when the order is placed, and the payment term is 14 days net. Usage rights are added to the customer’s account once the payment has been received. Bank transfer is currently available for customers in Finland, both companies and private persons. Late payments accrue interest under the Finnish Interest Act.

Usage rights can be bought as a one-off purchase or as a monthly or annual subscription. The subscription is invoiced in advance at the start of each period, and the period’s usage rights are added once the invoice is paid. The subscription can be ended at any time in the customer portal: it ends at the end of the current period and no new invoice is sent. Usage rights already received remain. If the previous invoice is unpaid, no new invoice is sent and the subscription is paused until it is paid.

Card and PayPal payments

When card or PayPal payment is available in the portal, the order is processed by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the Merchant of Record for orders paid this way. Paddle handles the payment, receipt and VAT, as well as customer service and refunds related to the payment of these orders. VAT is determined by the buyer’s country. Usage rights are added to the account as soon as the payment is confirmed. Monthly and annual subscriptions are currently paid by invoice.

Customer responsibilities

The customer is responsible for having the right to use the material it uploads and for the material being correct and up to date.

The text is based on the information provided by the customer. The customer reviews and approves every language version before production and use, and is responsible for the use of approved content.

The customer does not upload unnecessary personal data or unlawful content.

Artificial intelligence

Artificial intelligence may be used in Rujos-studiot Oy’s services.

Editing and new versions

The text of each language version can be edited once before approval, by at most one third. A new translation version of the same document uses a new usage right.

Sharing links

The sharing link of a finished presentation stays valid until the customer deletes it. Anyone with the link can open the presentation. A deleted link cannot be restored.

Shared link, confirmations and questions

The customer can share a presentation with one link and QR code, ask recipients to confirm they have watched it, or allow questions. The customer is responsible for informing recipients about the processing of this data and for using it only for induction, training and communication. Rujos-studiot Oy processes this data on the customer’s behalf with the retention periods stated in the privacy notice.

Limitation of liability

The service is provided as is. The provider is not liable for indirect damage or damage resulting from the use of content approved by the customer. Liability is limited to the price the customer paid for the service in question. This does not apply to intent, gross negligence or mandatory law.

Changes and termination

The provider may develop the service and change these terms. Material changes are announced in advance. The customer may stop using the service at any time. Refunds of unused rights are described in the refund policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Finnish law. Consumers also have their rights under consumer protection law.
